Flour Millers Choose POLIN after Brook Test Bakery visit

Here at Brook Food we house a 1000sq ft Test Bakery and are equipped to assist anyone with product development, equipment testing and product trials. We were really happy to recently welcome the team from G.R.Wright and Sons Ltd to test equipment. Family run Wright’s, flour millers who have been an intrepid part of the Baking Industry for over 140 years chose us here at Brook Food to make an important purchase for their new test facility.

Julian Woodgate, Director at Wrights is quoted as saying:  “It was really beneficial for us to be able to test bake a variety of products in the Polin Oven and has given us the confidence that this oven will work very well at our testing facilities at Wright’s Bakery Ingredients”

With resident machinery including a combined Polin gas steam tube and electric artisan deck oven, a compact Polin single rack rotary oven, a modular Polin electric deck oven, mixers, a pastry production line, pastry rollers, multidrop depositors, etc.  Our aim is to provide an environment where users can test machinery to understand a process or a product ready for implementing at their own facility.  With that in mind, the team from Wrights were able to bake a variety of Breads and cakes using the Polin modular electric deck oven which they believed would be the most suitable on offer from Brook. The 2 day trials were a great success and a grateful team at here at Brook Food were given samples of everything baked to take home.

Since installation Technical Sales Manager Myron Standley who runs the test facilities at Wrights has commented “I am very pleased with the new oven, it is very versatile as we bake a full range of products from Bread and Cake to Biscuits and Pastry Products. The oven achieves very consistent results”.
