Here at Brook Food, we have organised supplying Hobbs House Bakery a Rofco B40 oven in order for them to create videos to teach baking to those isolating during this difficult time.
The Rofco ovens are the perfect crossover for baking quality bread using commercial, scalable methods and Brook Food and Hobbs House Bakery know that it’s the ideal oven to use for creating tutorials to aid those in lockdown.

Hobbs House Bakery has been running a Cookery School for 6 years with a busy and full schedule focussed on baking all year round. The last 10 years have seen an enormous rise in the growth of sourdough and home baking, and Hobbs House Bakery say they are delighted to have been a part of home bakers journeys in educating them and sharing ideas together. Anna at Hobbs House says “We believe that good bread should be shared, so we have always openly shared recipes and helped people to bake. Once people have tasted real handmade bread there Is no going back.”.

We believe that now is the perfect time to increase the scale of their cookery school. With a huge percentage of the global population now in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people have reduced  access to items such as bread, or are completely unable to travel to bakeries. Hobbs House are using their skills and knowledge to help bring real bread to people within the comfort of their own homes during this time.

The bakery is very busy at the moment with small and independent bakery businesses across the country working really hard to feed the nation alongside the large multiples and supermarkets but hopes to start creating the videos soon.

Currently, Hobbs House Bakery have multiple platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with tens of thousands of followers, as well as 18k newsletter subscribers and a Sourdough Nation forum with over 5k members, which is currently increasing by around 100 members each week.
