Rotary Moulders and Extruders
Extruding and rotary moulding provides manufacturers with two different styles of processing biscuit doughs as well as other non-viscous products.
Polin’s Rotary Moulders offer delivery of the product by rotary drum either directly onto a baking tray or, in a high output industrial setting, directly onto the travelling oven belt.
In the first instance, the standalone machines are available in various widths to suit trays of all sizes.
An adjustable dough feeding systems allows up to approx. 300kg of unbaked biscuits to be manipulated and trayed per hour as well as ensuring consistent results by means of the engineered interchangeable brass drums that can achieve intricate products. An indexed conveyor allows for automatic loading to aid operation to ensure streamline production.
The Polin Moulder is suitable for the production of butter cookie dough, shortbread, and pet treats, and despite its versatility, allows for very high levels of product output while maintaining near perfect weight accuracy and design detail.
Industrial models allow for increased production due to wider drums and faster throughputs combining with other machinery to aid automation.
Machines are built to order to achieve immaculate results to suit the intended recipe and end product, bespoke feeding systems, drum release facilities and scrapers are common features. Touch screen controls and full indexed integration allow for high level production of thousands of kilos of dough per hour.
For single outlet extruding, the Reach Food Systems Screw Paste Extruder can handle products such as flapjacks, non-viscous pastes and meat based products such as pasty fillings with or without particulates or inclusions. The machine offers a sensible solution for difficult products which are not able to be processed by piston and gear depositors.
Mounted on a mobile stainless steel chassis, with variable speed offtake conveyor, this screw paste extruder has been designed and built with standalone features or the ability to be integrated or feed further equipment. With further options available to be line mounted or integrated into an automatic tray loading system. Designed with the bakery, confectionery and food service industries in mind.
The body is constructed from stainless steel, brush finished and the screw itself is made from aluminium. The pitch of the screw and its variable speed creates a constant pressure on the product so that an air pocket free homogenous extrusion is ensured. A PTFE coating on the screw is available as an option.
The screw paste extruder can be supplied with interchangeable shape templates offering a complete bespoke extruded product with an envelope of 150mm round. This offers a larger size product than most other formers on the market.
Clean accurate portioning is achieved via a time-adjustable control system with a pneumatic guillotine. An ultrasonic cutting option is available for tough and difficult to cut products with large inclusions.
