As the Web Merchandiser you will organise and manage the planning, coordination and delivery of all Web Merchandising and Optimisation on the Brook Food & Bakery Equipment website.

You will be responsible for merchandising all products on our website and strive to improve the customer experience, grow sales, increase conversions to buy and ensure accuracy of all displayed product content on the website.  A key requirement ensuring that all products are kept updated and all relevant teams informed. You’ll do this by understanding how our customers shop online and looking at ways to drive growth, so a commercial mind-set is essential.

You’ll also be monitoring on and off-site optimisation, as well as reviewing brand and category landing pages, and providing web data and competition analysis, so we can continue to build on the customer journey.

Required skills and experience

Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar merchandising role
Experience with Ecommerce Content Management Systems (wordpress and bespoke platforms)
Commercial mind-set
Knowledge when it comes to SEO, conversion rate optimisation and web analytics
Google Analytics (or other analytical platform)
Knowledge of uploading to ebay
Data driven
Numerical, with strong Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge of industrial products

Primary responsibilities of the role are to:

Create and consolidate the master product file for all product information to be used for the merchandising of all products on the website. Ensuring this is kept up to date and all times with the relevant teams
Merchandise the online product and supporting content, ensuring products are effectively categorised and visually merchandised to maximise sell through, working closely with the team to ensure product and image details are correct across website and ebay
Checking associated product details, prices, imagery and supporting content ( manuals/brochures)  in line with marketing and merchandising plans
Manage product stock levels across the website and ebay, keeping both the sales and marketing team updated
Monitor our activity and provide resulting recommendations to influence key commercial decisions, improve website content and merchandising to sustain market leader position
Ensure excellent brand experience and impactful merchandising across website
Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure delivery of exceptional customer experience and ensure any feedback/learnings are implemented
Support product selections for Email communications based on Google analytics data
Work closely with Brand Manager to plan and release a content programme plus any functional enhancements across website
Work with Brand Manager to define and monitor strong KPIs including site traffic, conversion rates, site speed, etc.
Ensure strong SEO approach and relevant KPIs
Manage relevant external agencies/partners
Continue to monitor journey/UX in line with overall brand strategy
Ensure the look and feel of the website delivers best practice and powerful on-brand experience
