We have some really exciting news, here at Brook we’ve just found out that we are finalists in Business of the Year 2015 - 26-50 employees in the Somerset Business Awards. It’s the first year we’ve entered and having presented ourselves last week to the category judges we are down to the final three and will be finding out during the awards ceremony in October if we’ve been successful in becoming the overall winners. Bread on the Rise ! - 15/09/2015

It doesn't seem like 5 mins ago that we announced the exciting news that we were joining as sponsors to Tiptree World Bread Awards with Brook Food . The closing date on Sunday 31 August saw entries up by a fabulous  20%, proving we are still a nation of dough lovers!   Over 70 judges will make their way to Westminster Cathedral in tomorrow  to smell, squeeze and taste hundreds of loaves, ranging from sourdough, to fruit bread to speciality loaves. We can't believe that it's just a few weeks until this year’s prestigious Baking Industry Awards. This is our second year of both sponsoring and Judging the Baker of the Year category and it has to be said, it was really hard. We thought that last year was a difficult enough task , but this year it was even harder to judge. We saw an increase in the number of entries from bakers spanning the industry and country, from independent bakers to industrial multiples .
