Flour Power City

The relationship between Flour Power and Brook Food has developed over the last few years and the importance of the association has never been more apparent than when a devastating fire ripped through Flour Power’s Bakery in July of last year.
The fire destroyed the existing setter oven as well as many more machines and in a situation that left all concerned feeling like production would be interrupted for weeks if not months there was not a lot of joy at Flour Power.
However thanks to Brook Food who within hours of the fire being put out were able to implement a contingency plan the work to get Flour Power back up and running began. The team of engineers from Brook Food and their service company Bakery Miantenance Solutions in Minehead were in London within hours and closely behind them followed delivery trucks with replacement machinery including a 32 tray deck oven to help Flour Power get back on track to minimalise disruption.
Having removed all the damaged equipment from the site the replacement machinery was installed and set to work ensuring that within 36 hours of the fire the Team of Bakers at Flour Power we back producing the rustic, down to earth, organic bread they are famous for.
With things back to normal the next stage for Flour Power was to look at how the fire could in the long run ensure production and product development could grow with the bakery. This involved looking at new ovens and finding what latest equipment was on offer.
